Mind/Body Classes:

Yin Yoga: Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes.

Hatha Yoga: Yoga combines physical exercises, mental meditation, and breathing techniques to strengthen the muscles and relieve stress.  Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures.

Yoga Fusion: A mix of traditional yoga poses incorporated with another form of fitness, such as Pilates or resistance training, is called yoga fusion. This blending of techniques focuses on combining mind and body exercises with the benefits of strength, aerobics, balance and flexibility.

Chair Yoga: is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. It is recognized formally as a type of yoga distinct from other types are often adaptations of Hatha yoga positions. This blending of techniques focuses on combining mind and body exercises with the benefits of strength, aerobics, balance and flexibility.

Basic Yoga:Basic Yoga combines beginner physical exercises, mental meditation, and breathing.

Power Yoga: Power Yoga is a more intense practice of yoga that will make you sweat. A traditional Ashtanga practice follows the same series of poses and makes you hold each for five breaths before moving through a Vinyasa. Power Yoga classes move quickly with an even faster rhythm.

Pilates: A form of exercise which emphasizes the balanced development through core strength, flexibility and awareness to support efficient, easy movement through Meditation, core, body and flow of movements.

Power Pilates: An advanced form of exercise which emphasizes the balanced development through core strength, flexibility and awareness to support efficient, easy movement.

Relaxation/Mediation: Meditation is a practice by which a person achieves a greater sense of awareness, wisdom, introspection, and a deeper sense of relaxation. … In this class, we will explore the various techniques of meditation, such as sitting, standing, and yoga.

Warm Power Yoga: The main style of yoga that we teach is called Vinyasa Yoga. This powerful, energetic, playful flowing class has a strong emphasis on breath and allows beginners, intermediate and advanced students to be challenged in the same class.

BODY FLOW™: The Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

 

Dance

ZUMBA®: A fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, and based on the principle that a workout should be “FUN AND EASY TO DO.” The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Latin Cardio:is a fusion of Latin music todance themes that create a dynamic, exciting fun and a great workout!

Jazz: Jazz dance is constant and fun beats. It uses upbeat music and leaps and turns to interpret traditional and not-so-traditional movements.

Body Ballet: Participants will learn the fundamental forms of ballet including an introduction to the core positions for the feet and arms, the basic movements of the body core, basic jumps, turns and cross-stage movements. The class is designed for participants who have no former dance training or experience. The focus is to dance for fitness and health: to use the fundamentals of ballet to improve posture, muscle tone, balance, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness.

Cardio Strength Classes:

BODYPUMP™: This 60-minute addictive workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. The key to BODYPUMP™ is THE REP EFFECT™, a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads.

BODYPUMP EXPRESS™: This 45-minute addictive workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. The key to BODYPUMP™ is THE REP EFFECT™, a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads

INSANITY ™: A predesigned interval class that requires no equipment and is easy to learn and fun to participate in. INSANITY Rounds (released every other month) offer participants the opportunity to a challenging class with heart-thumping, well-timed music. The group-exercise adaptation of this workout has been designed to give participants a safe, challenging, and results-driven experience.

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING: This class is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. … This class includes circuit training, cardio exercise, body weight exercises and finishes with core training and stretching for a complete workout.

Core/Abs Express: Build your core strength and tone your abs, glutts and legs with core/abs Express, a 55 minute workout focused on building your core.

Boot Camp: This class combines calisthenics, plyometrics, strength training and cardio intervals. The instructors follow a traditional boot camp style using vocal style counts.

Cardio Strength: This class generally follow a circuit or interval format, alternating cardio and strength training exercises. Exercises such as walking, running, jumping, stepping maybe combined with resistance exercises using your body weight, dumbbells, body bars, medicine balls, bands and steps.

P90X® : The hugely successful home-based program now has a studio / group based workout class format!  A trained instructor certified in the P90X® format will lead you through different workouts which use resistance and body-weight training, cardio, plyometrics, ab work, martial arts, yoga, and more!  Come have fun with your friends and enjoy P90X® in a group!

TURBOKICKThe official Turbo Kick description of “cardio kickboxing and body-sculpting dance moves choreographed to the hottest music mixes” is just about as accurate as a description can be. … Be careful though, Turbo Kick is one addicting dance/exercise class.

CARDIO KICKBOXING: Dynamic and explosive class that incorporates kickboxing techniques with an intense cardio workout. Increase your aerobic capacity, learn conditioning drills that improve your strength, agility and quickness while burning CALORIES!

RUNNING:

Run Club: Our members run to control stress, keep fit, maintain weight, or just as a way to socialize. No matter your reason, we’ll see you at Run Club! Meet at the front desk prior to the start of the class to meet the instructor.

Active Older Adult:

Forever Young Cardio Strength: Classes are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. The workout combines aerobic, flexibility and resistance (strength) training with plenty of friendly fun.

Forever Young Toning: Classes are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. The workout combines aerobic, resistance (strength) training and toning with plenty of friendly fun.

Forever Young Stretch: It’s time for greater ease, comfort and capability in daily life. If you’ve been feeling tight, stiff, stressed or anxious then one of my classes might be just what you need! All classes include full body stretching and guided relaxation.

Forever Young Chair Yoga: This class is a gentle form of yoga. You will practice yoga sitting in a chair or standing using the chair for support. … The chair is used due to the difficulty in getting down and up off the floor. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and ways of relaxation with the aid of a chair.

SILVERSNEAKERS: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support.

ZUMBA GOLD: Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba®class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. How It Works. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
