Downtown Orlando Group Exercise Classes

We offer over 125 group exercise classes throughout the week for all ages and abilities, including industry leading classes from Les Mills like BODYPUMPTM and BODYATTACKTM. Everything from Kids Fitness for the little ones to SilverSneakers® for older adults. Enjoy relaxing and restorative yoga, high energy Zumba®, high-intensity Boot Camp and Next Level and low-impact water fitness classes. Connect with state-of-the-art technology from Technogym® in our group cycling and TEAMBEATSTM classes.

Our group fitness program offers a special sense of community. Have fun and build lasting connections. Working out with friends can help improve accountability and result in fewer missed workouts! You’ll gain the energy of the group effect as our nationally certified instructors guide you through motivating workouts in a safe and inviting environment.

Active Older Adults (AOA)
A kinder, gentler aerobic workout appropriate for older adults who would like to include a low-intensity, low-impact workout in their fitness plans. Each class includes an aerobic conditioning and stretching segment.

Advanced Swim Workout  (Ages 18+)
In this class, participants work closely with a swim coach to improve technique and maximize swimming strengths. Coaches create workout programs to challenge intermediate and advanced swimmers.

Aqua Fit Deep  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This low-impact class is performed in deeper water and is designed to improve joint stability, coordination, heart health, and strength. The class will incorporate cardio and strength, using water dumbbells and flotation belts.

Aqua Fit Shallow  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This low-impact class is performed in shallow water and is designed to improve joint stability, coordination, heart health, and strength. The class will incorporate cardio and strength, using water dumbbells and flotation belts.

Aqua Zumba®   (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
Enjoy a low-impact, high-energy, aquatic dance party while using water as resistance to tone and shape the body.

Barre  (Ages 16+)
Barre is a full-body workout that fuses the best elements of ballet, pilates, sports conditioning, and stretching for a truly unique and fun experience. This routine will evenly sculpt and quickly transform the entire body, resulting in a toned, trim physique.

BODYATTACK™ – Les Mills  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
A sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises.

BODYCOMBAT™ – Les Mills  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
This class is a fun and high-energy workout inspired by martial arts. Learn how to safely punch, kick, and strike your way to new levels of fitness and strength.

BODYPUMP™ – Les Mills (Ages 16+)
Strength endurance workout using light and moderate weights with a lot of repetition. Instructors will coach through the scientifically proven moves and techniques, pumping out encouragement, motivation, and great music.

Boot Camp  (Ages 16+)
Experience high-intensity, full-body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper and lower body. From circuit-style routines to creative muscle-toning exercises, each class brings its own unique challenges.
*Outdoor Boot Camp is seasonal and will be held if weather permits.

Cardio Strength  (Ages 16+)
By training with free weights, resistance bands, and body weight, this 55-minute workout is an exciting range of strengthening, balance, and core exercises that will help to improve cardiovascular health.

Core  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This class is designed to build core muscle groups while improving posture through performing a variety of exercises that strengthen the abdomen and back muscles. The instructor may include a variety of equipment in this great workout.

Cycling  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
Take a ride indoors as an instructor guides the class on an all-terrain journey that will get your heart pumping and challenge you to give a little more. The focus is on proper cycle technique, body alignment, and cardio drills. Technology is also utilized to project metrics of your ride (RPM, speed, heart rate, etc.) onto televisions in the room and help you enhance your cycle experience and workout.

CXWORX™ – Les Mills  (Ages 16+)
CXWORX™ is all about building core strength and improving the functional fitness of the abdominals, mid-section, glutes, shoulders, and back. A trained instructor will guide the class through the correct technique along with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as bodyweight exercises. This class will help in increasing core strength, tone the body, and improve posture.

GRIT™ – Les Mills  (Ages 16+)
This 30-minute, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout is designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness, build lean muscle, and maximize calorie burn. GRIT™ classes can vary between cardio-focused using a variety of bodyweight exercises, or more strength-focused often using a barbell, weight plate, step, and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. This series is a multi-dimensional conditioning training program designed to shift fitness to the next level.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This high-Intensity interval training class combines calisthenics, plyometrics, and bodyweight exercises in cardio intervals. Exercises done in time bursts with short recovery periods. The goal is to reach an anaerobic state, increasing metabolism for 24–72 hours after the workout.

INSANITY™  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This high-intensity class is a cardio-based total body conditioning program packed with plyometric drills, strength and power intervals, and incorporates core training techniques. This class is great for cardio and endurance for all skill levels because the workout doesn’t require equipment.

Kid’s Fitness  (Ages 6-12, youth-only class)
Fun comes first and we guarantee there is a lot of it during this 30-minute fitness program! Games, dance, and movement—it’s all there and designed to make you stronger, faster, and more agile.

Mat Pilates  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body with an emphasis on core strengthening. Mat-based classes are taught using floor mats and may use a small amount of equipment.

Next Level  (Ages 16+)
This 30-minute, high-intensity circuit workout uses everything from bodyweight and plyometric boxes to kettlebells and TRX bands to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, energy, and overall body tone. The goal is to reach an anaerobic state increasing metabolism for 24–72 hours after the workout.

Osteo-safe Pilates  (Ages 12+, parent not required to be present)
This Osteoporosis-safe pilates workout is safe for anyone with low bone density. This class will focus on strengthening the core muscles of the body that support the spine. Other goals of this class are  to strengthen the back, shoulders, legs, and hips while increasing muscle mass and improving balance, range of motion, and posture.

Postpartum Core  (Ages 18+)
Restore your core with this specialized class designed to improve pelvic and abdominal weakness and symptoms. This expert-led class can help correct diastasis recti (separation of the stomach muscles), strengthen pelvic floor muscles, and restore confidence.

SilverSneakers® – Classic  (Ages 65+)
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

Stretch  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
A total-body stretch class that’s great for relaxing, stretching, and lengthening tight muscles. Stretching is important for people of all ages. Benefits of stretching include increased range of motion, reduced muscle tension, enhanced muscular coordination, increased blood circulation, and higher energy levels.

Tai Chi  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
Tai Chi is a meditative exercise based on Taoist philosophy and other centuries-old Chinese principles of health, spirituality, and self-defense. Its natural, relaxed movements promote inner calm and improve self-awareness, balance, and coordination. Tai Chi is suitable for all skill levels.

TEAMBEATS™  (Ages 16+)
This 45-minute, high-intensity training class combines strength, cardio, and fun in a competitive team environment. Wear a heart rate monitor* to track performance and intensity based on target heart rate zones. The goal is to reach an anaerobic state increasing metabolism for 24–72 hours after the workout. Results are automatically synced to your mywellness account so you can keep track of your progress.
*Compatible heart rate monitor required to participate. Booking required through the YMCA of Central Florida mobile app.

Yoga  (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
All yoga classes integrate stretching, strengthening, and balance. Yoga incorporates a variety of poses synchronized to breathing and concludes with a relaxing meditative rest for body, mind, and spirit. Yoga styles are diverse. Sequencing, pace, and duration of poses vary based on each instructor’s personal style and training. Most classes are great for participants of all levels, including those with special considerations. Participants should be able to get up from the floor to standing and back down safely on their own without assistance. If this is not the case please try our Chair Yoga or SilverSneakers® classes before advancing to other classes.

  • Basic Yoga: Fundamental introduction to yoga. This class will focus on the most common yoga postures, breathing techniques, stretching, toning, and relaxation. Enjoy a few standing and balancing poses followed by floor stretches and guided relaxation.
  • Chair Yoga: Chair yoga is a suitable practice for students unable to participate in traditional yoga classes due to limitations. Chair yoga offers a practical alternative, as it deepens flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness. Participants will move through yoga postures, focus on breathing techniques, meditation and ways of relaxation, with the aid of a chair.
  • Flow Yoga: Also known as Vinyasa Yoga, focuses on the breath to guide movement through smooth transitions and sequences, usually including sun salutations. Vinyasa features a mixture of strengthening, standing and balancing poses, basic backbends, and seated floor work. Expect to move at a slow to moderate pace.
  • Power Yoga: Power Yoga provides an aerobic, challenging class that incorporates the athleticism of ashtanga and flow of vinyasa. Expect a moderate to vigorous pace, focusing on strength, stability, stretching, toning and increasing flexibility with options to go physically deeper into poses.
  • Traditional Yoga: Traditional Yoga, also known as Hatha Yoga, focuses on one pose at a time with rest in between. Moving with deep awareness and mindfulness, ease into a variety of postures, holding and linking these postures with the breath to help you build a foundation. Yoga classes may also include some sun salutations, which is the sequencing of movements paired with the breath.
  • Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga is a quiet practice suitable for all levels. Through the practice of long-held postures (typically 2-5 minutes) targeting the connective tissues. Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia.

Zumba®   (Ages 8+, parent must be present)
This workout is a dynamic fitness program using some Latin dance moves and music. This class features easy-to-follow moves in interval training segments with fast and slow rhythms—and most importantly it helps you develop a commitment to fun!
