A collection of teens from various Family Centers and programs within our association focused on leadership development, service learning, teen recruitment to the Y, and community outreach.

CHRISTIAN VALUES CONFERENCE AT BLUE RIDGE:

For one week each summer, teens from across the United States come together at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly to explore their personal values, share in spiritual fellowship, and develop friendships.

WINTER RETREAT AT CAMP WEWA:

A “mini” version of the Christian Values Conference, held right here by the YMCA of Central Florida!

KHAN ACADEMY NIGHTS AT THE SOUTH ORLANDO YMCA:

Khan Academy is a free, online program, designed to help students practice for the SAT. High school students from Oak Ridge High School log on and work on subject areas specific to their needs at the South Orlando YMCA on a weekly basis.

LEADERS CLUB:

A group of teens between the ages of 12 and 18 organized for the purpose of developing youth as leaders, fostering a culture of service, and shaping healthy lifestyles.

LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT):

A teen leadership program that shows students what it takes to become a camp counselor! Youth gain self-confidence, improve leadership skills, and learn to work with children of all ages.
