RESIDENT CAMPS (OVERNIGHT CAMPS)
Four week-long sessions and two 2-week sessions beginning on Sundays at 1:30 pm and ending on Fridays at 2:00 pm for ages 8–14. YMCA Camp Wewa is all-inclusive—meals, snacks, activities, and specialized instructional staff are all covered with your camp dues.
Campers stay in age- and gender-appropriate cabins with a maximum of 14 campers, and a minimum of two full-time staff counselors.
In order to participate in camp activities, campers must have a recent Health History Form on file, which includes a current physical performed by a licensed physician within the last 12 months. Please download and complete our Health History Form prior to the start of your camper’s session.
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT)
A three-week training and mentoring program for campers ages 16–17 who are interested in pursuing a counselor position at YMCA Camp Wewa. CITs will spend their time in leadership-specific activities and will stay in younger-aged cabins learning from the best counselors at YMCA Camp Wewa. CIT participants receive 40 community service hours and will participate in a service project. Please note completion of CIT program does not guarantee a paid counselor position in the future.
LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT)
LITs will work as a cohort to develop their team, individual, and peer-to-peer leadership skills. This two-week program features extensive facilitation training, as well as communication and teamwork skills for campers ages 14–15. LIT participants receive 20 community service hours and will participate in a service project.
