New YMCA in The Packing District

The YMCA of Central Florida’s 23rd location will be built within The Packing District, the Dr. Phillips Charities’ new transformational project located near College Park.

This Family Center, at the planned roundabout at Princeton Street and Texas Avenue, will allow the YMCA to further expand its mission to improve the lives of all in Central Florida by strengthening and connecting the downtown Orlando, College Park and surrounding neighborhood communities.

The new Y will be filled with the latest in healthy living equipment, classes, programs and services to best meet the needs of the community. In addition, because of its unique location within The Packing District, this Y will be able to host key events and integrate programs that allow both indoor and outdoor healthy living activities for members.

The YMCA of Central Florida continues planning and fundraising efforts to bring the vision of this new Family Center to life. Groundbreaking for the new Y is expected in late 2019 with plans to open doors to begin serving neighbors in early 2021.
