Welcome to a new year. Here at the Y, we’re looking forward to new opportunities, because now, more than ever, is the time for us to come together as a community. The Y is the place to make it whole. We’re filling gaps and bridging divides.
Bridges need support to remain structured. As YMCA Teen Achiever Alumni and U.S. Diplomat Calvin Hayes reminded us in the clip you see above from our Arthur “Pappy” Kennedy Prayer Breakfast on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, “Bridges can’t stand on their own. A bridge needs something to make sure it doesn’t tilt through storm and weather.” And that something, is you, our supporters of the YMCA of Central Florida, who ensure that we continue to be the bridge in our communities. Let’s continue working towards a better, kinder us in 2018.
