Nicci Bucher, MSW, District Vice President, joined with YMCA of Central Florida team in 2005 and has 20+ years of Human Resources, Operations, and Early Education experience. As District Vice President, she oversees the YMCA’s Elementary Schools Program, The Learning Centers Operated by The Central Florida YMCA, and the YMCA Osceola Family Center. Nicci leads with innovative business acumen, with areas of expertise including relationship and strategic management, cultivating strategic partnerships, and running efficient and successful operations. Nicci’s educational experience includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work (M.S.W) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Florida State University. She has served as an OCPS School Advisory Council Chair at multiple elementary and middle schools and is a graduate of Orange County Public School’s Leadership Orange program, as well as a recipient of the YMCA of Central Florida’s Jim Ferber Leadership Award.
John Stiles Williams, Executive Director, with 20+ years of public education and youth development experience, working with school age students in grades K-5 as a former teacher and OCPS administrator. Responsible for the successful program and services at our 34 Elementary School Before and After School programs. Under his direction the YMCA implemented curriculum to support students in values, reading, and health and wellness. He currently leads the YMCA of Central Florida (as an Association, serving 6 counties) in providing the necessary training, development and supervision of all school age and summer camp programs. John’s educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science in Education and Masters of Arts in Administration/Supervision. Prior to joining the YMCA of Central Florida, John was an Assistant Principal.
Junior Cha Cha, Program Director, has worked in youth development for 15+ years. He leads the efforts for social responsibility in our department. This includes a commitment to our character development programs, social emotional education and telling the YMCA story in the community. Junior is on the Diversity and Inclusion team for the YMCA of Central Florida where he works with our National Organization to bring resources back to our YMCA to strengthen support to all of our families.
Mandy Dihal, Program Director, holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work and brings over 12 years of youth development experience to our team. She works on the YMCA of the USA’s achievement gap task force. On a national level the YMCA is committed to assisting students in struggling communities to reach their fullest potential and Mandy bring those resource to Central Florida. Mandy leads our Curriculum Development team to incorporate the whole-child approach in our before and after school programs.
Zach McDaniel, Program Director, carries over 12 years in youth development in licensed childcare facilities. Zach comes to the YMCA of Central Florida with a wealth of knowledge and experience in curriculum, licensing regulations, and behavior management. Zach holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati. He is also certified as a CPR/First Aid trainer and holds a Child Development Associates Certificate and Pre-K Licensure. Zach has direct supervision responsibilities for multiple school sites and leads the training and data collection for our before and after school programs.
Cynthia Sandoval, Program Director, with 12+ years of YMCA Elementary School Program experience. Cynthia holds an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. Cynthia leads our year round recruitment and hiring process and has successfully put together Coordinator and staff trainings over the last five years. Cynthia has direct supervision responsibilities for multiple school sites.
Betsy Schwartz, Program Director, with over 30 years in non-profit program development and summer camp leadership experience. Betsy holds a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. Betsy has direct supervision responsibilities for multiple school sites and oversees summer camps and fundraising efforts.
