We currently nurture, educate and care for over
640 CHILDREN EVERY DAY.
Impacting over 4,000 families per year.

THE CHALLENGE

Working parents of young children face limited options when it comes to quality childcare.

Quality varies from program to program, and the highest quality programs often come with a high price tag to match. Even the most reputable programs offer little more than baby-sitting services, missing an opportunity to engage children in productive and stimulating activities that would promote brain development.

THE SOLUTION

In conjunction with the Walt Disney World, Resort® the Y of Central Florida developed a program that meets the needs of working families and growing minds.

The program immerses children in a dynamic, nurturing and culturally diverse environment. Children spend the day learning, interacting and participating in educational activities that stimulate their growing minds. The Y serves nutritious meals to nourish children’s growing bodies. Parents continue working to support their families while knowing that their children are receiving the highest quality experiences in child care.

ACTIVITIES

Since children at this age learn best by actively engaging with people and things in their environment, the curriculum focuses on hands-on experiences and real-life adventures. Children will explore, discover new concepts and begin developing important interpersonal relationships — all while playing and having fun! In addition, the Y introduces nutritious food choices and regular exercise to keep kids bodies’ growing as strong as their minds. As children embark on their lifelong journey of exploration and development, our Early Childhood Development program fosters a healthy and long-term desire for learning and healthy living.

SUPERVISION

The program is operated by highly-trained and qualified childcare professionals who satisfy the following requirements:

•Associates Degree in Education
•Child Development Associate Credential
•2 Years experience in professional childcare
•Completion of the Y of Central Florida Early Childhood Development training curriculum

To ensure that each child receives the individual attention and optimum care, the centers maintain a small teacher-to-child ratio (ratios vary by age group) which allows teachers to form close bonds with the children.
