YMCA of Central Florida Celebrates Food Day | Friday, Oct. 24

Food Day is a year-round nationwide celebration of and movement toward more healthy, affordable, and sustainable food culminating in a day of action on October 24 every year.
Created by the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest and driven by a diverse coalition of food movement leaders and citizens, Food Day aims to bring us closer to a food system with “real food” that is produced with care for the environment, animals, and the women and men who grow, harvest, and serve it.
Fall Festival Planned for Oct. 24

Oviedo YMCAs Fall Festival is set to take place Friday, Oct. 24 from 4-7 p.m. Activities will include games, prizes, a costume contest, balloon artist, face painting, food, fun and entertainment by DJ Rob. Florida Hospital will participate in the event bring fun and good health for adults and children with golf swing analysis; flu shots; and children will have the opportunity to tour the pediatric ambulance.
