NUTRITION CORNER WITH GARY APPLESIES, DIRECTOR OF HEALTHY EATING I love seeds. Do you? The statistics are sobering: According to the National Center for Health Statistics, obesity has doubled in children and quadrupled in adolescents over the past 30 years. And with it has come a host of chronic diseases – including diabetes and high blood pressure – that were once only seen in adults.
